Summit County Court Docket Basics
A docket is the court calendar and event list for a case or a group of hearings. In Summit County, a public docket result can show the hearing date, start time, expected duration, party name, case number, hearing type, court location, appearance type, and courtroom. It is best used to confirm where and when a matter is set, whether an appearance is virtual or in person, and which case number should be used for a later document request.
A docket is not the same as the full case file. The docket may show an arraignment, sentencing hearing, initial conference, or other event, while the court record may include the complaint, information, order, judgment, plea, sentence, or Register of Action. Note: Docket results help identify a case, but certified copies must come from the Summit Combined Courts clerk.
Search Summit County Court Dockets Online
The main online docket source is the Colorado Judicial Branch Summit County docket search. The official Summit County court page links its Find Dockets tool to this system. The page says a search can use any fields to find a list of dockets, but at least one filter in addition to date is required. County prefiltering points the search to Summit County, and court type can be set to Both, County, or District.
- Open the Summit County docket search and keep Summit County selected as the county.
- Choose a date range, such as Today, 1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, or Specific Date.
- Add another filter, such as party name, attorney name, case number, court type, or case class.
- Review the result list for hearing type, location, appearance type, and courtroom.
- Use Export Results or Printable Version if a clean copy of the docket list is needed.

Sample Summit County Docket Entry
Public sample results inspected on July 13, 2026 showed Summit County entries such as 2024CR139 with an Arraignment, 2026DR30044 with an Initial Conference Appearance, and 2025CR115 with a Hearing. Observed appearance types included Virtual and In Person, and some domestic conference entries had a blank appearance field. Result counts showed lists such as 1-20 of more than 200 results on different loads.

Courts with Summit County Dockets
District Court and County Court are housed through Summit Combined Courts at the Summit County Justice Center. District Court covers felony criminal, civil cases in any amount, domestic relations, juvenile, probate, mental health, and County Court appeals. County Court covers many misdemeanors, traffic infractions, small claims, and smaller civil matters. The state docket search is the core public calendar channel for those state trial court hearings.
Municipal courts matter in Summit County because town tickets and ordinance cases may not be state court dockets. Silverthorne/Dillon/Keystone Municipal Court handles town traffic, animal, public peace and safety, code, disorderly conduct, assault, harassment, trespass, and shoplifting/theft under $1,000 inside those jurisdictions. Frisco Municipal Court holds municipal tickets and summonses issued by Frisco Police Department, and Breckenridge tells users to check whether the ticket is marked municipal or Summit County Court.

Read Summit County Docket Terms
Docket terms are short because they must fit in calendar results. Arraignment means the first formal proceeding where charges are read and a plea may be entered. A motion is a written request asking the court to order something. A disposition is the outcome of a charge or case. A continuance is a postponed hearing or deadline.
